Conclusion:
In 2025, we had a pretty even split (28/28/34/10) with 0.5 PPR scoring. If we keep our new 1 PPR TE scoring it really wouldn’t have changed too much in the top 100 (27/26/33/14). I think PPR is out for me – WRs take almost 40% of the market (25/26/38/11). If we had 1 PPR (RB/WR) with a 1.5 TE PPR it would have boosted WR and TE a bit (24/26/36/14).
Looking into 2026, 0.5 PPR hates TE (32/32/33/3) – which is what we’ve been trying to fix. Again, 1 PPR boosts WR too much for me (32/26/37/5). Our new 2026 scoring (1 PPR TE) or 1 PPR + 1.5 TE PPR seem to be the best options if we want TE more involved (32/25/31/12 vs 32/25/30/13). Both options give each team a chance at a top streaming option at TE. On a side note, most leagues are now Superflex + 1 PPR + 1.5 TE PPR with a mandatory TE position.
Ultimately, a premium on TE really only makes sense to me if we have a mandatory TE position. It’ll give us owners an incentive to prioritize them in the draft and make bigger moves for a streaming TE. So, for me the big vote draft weekend is going back to 0.5 PPR or we add a TE position before we consider any other TE scoring changes. If we add a TE position, we can then decide on keeping 0.5 PPR (RB/WR) + 1 PPR TE for 2026 or moving to 1 PPR + 1.5 PPR TE.
Rule Proposal:
-
- Add a mandatory TE position
- If passed; Keep 0.5 PPR + 1 PPR TE or switch to 1 PPR + 1.5 PPR TE
- If not passed; Remove TE 1 PPR and go back to 0.5 PPR (RB/WR/TE) or keep it
- Add a mandatory TE position
