2026 PDFL Rookie Draft Grades

April 28, 2026

Another draft in the books! Each year, I like to compile this crap and revisit pre-draft, post-draft, and value’s 1-year from now. To start things off – Round by round analysis: Player values include pre-draft values, post-draft values, and pick value to player differential (All from DTC).

2026 Round 1

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER PRE POST DIFF.
1.1 Aaron RB Jeremiyah Love 30.9 33.5 2.6
1.2 Joey QB Fernando Mendoza 20.7 20.8 0.1
1.3 Tee WR Jordyn Tyson 20.3 20.4 0.1
1.4 Dustin WR Carnell Tate 23.1 23.4 0.3
1.5 Nick RB Jadarian Price 11.0 15.8 4.8
1.6 Aaron WR Makai Lemon 21.7 17.8 -3.9
1.7 Tee QB Ty Simpson 11.3 9.6 -1.7
1.8 Dave TE Kenyon Sadiq 22.5 20.4 -2.1
1.9 Josh WR KC Concepcion 16.7 15.7 -1.0
1.10 Aaron WR Omar Cooper Jr. 11.4 11.6 0.2
1.11 Isaac WR Denzel Boston 14.8 12.2 -2.6
1.12 Isaac WR Chris Bell 8.9 7.2 -1.7

Best Pick: RB Jadarian Price (+4.8) – Price’s value is going through the roof after Seattle drafted him at 32 in the 1st round. The biggest RB needy team took an RB in the 1st round (huge bump in value) and 1st round RB value alone makes them worthy of a top 3 pick in Dynasty drafts. Overrated to undervalued in a matter of one Thursday night.
Worst Pick: WR Chris Bell (-1.7) – Isaac took a swing on the uber athletic Chris Bell who lands in a very wide-open depth chart in Miami. The only problem is he was a 3rd round receiver and his market value dropped post draft. After reviewing recent ADP, Bell is going 2.3 (pick 15).
Upside Pick: QB Ty Simpson (-1.7) – Although the DTC value for Simpson decreased post draft, it’s somewhat of a mystery as to why. Simpson goes 13 overall in the NFL draft to a great situation with the Rams. Yes, he may sit for a year, but he has some awesome analytics, and I think he’ll crush his 1.12 ADP when people look back on this draft. Elite upside pick here.
2025 Picks:
– Best Pick: RB TreVeyon Henderson
– Worst Pick: WR Matthew Golden
– Upside Pick: QB Jaxson Dart

2026 Round 2

2.1 Nick QB Drew Allar 2.2 3.4 1.2
2.2 Nick QB Carson Beck 1.9 2.6 0.7
2.3 Joey RB Kaelon Black 0.0 1.3 1.3
2.4 Craig WR Antonio Williams 2.8 6.2 3.4
2.5 Isaac WR Zachariah Branch 9.0 7.2 -1.8
2.6 Aaron QB Cade Klubnik 0.0 1.4 1.4
2.7 Tee WR De’Zhaun Stribling 0.0 5.6 5.6
2.8 Dalton TE Oscar Delp 0.0 3.4 3.4
2.9 Josh TE Eli Stowers 10.7 10.3 -0.4
2.10 Evan WR Germie Bernard 8.2 8.4 0.2
2.11 Dave WR Ted Hurst 1.1 1.8 0.7
2.12 Craig WR Elijah Sarratt 7.0 1.6 -5.4

Best Pick: WR Germie Bernard (+0.2) – Bernard didn’t move much in the market but ended up slipping a bit in our rookie draft. He landed round 2 pedigree and to a pretty nice spot in Pittsburgh. ADP has Bernard at 2.1 (pick 13). I also really liked the Antonio Williams pick here. His ADP is 2.4, right on point, but I like the profile and landing spot.
Worst Pick: WR Elijah Sarratt (-5.4) – Sarratt had a decent profile heading into the draft but slipped to the 4th round in the NFL draft where he was taken by the only team in the NFL that can’t seem to develop receivers. Market value is in the tank on him and his ADP is nearly outside of the top 40 rookies in dynasty (pick 36).
Upside Pick: WR De’Zhaun Stribling (+5.6) – Stribling boasts an amazing 98% athleticism score and round 2 NFL pedigree to a great spot in San Fran. The market is still down on him compared to other receivers in this similar zone (Stribling at 2.6 while Boston is at 1.9 and Bernard is at 2.1), so I really like the upside here.
2025 Picks:
– Best Pick: WR Luther Burden
– Worst Pick: QB Jalen Milroe
– Upside Pick: TE Colson Loveland

2026 Round 3

3.1 Tee RB Demond Claiborne 5.7 2.0 -3.7
3.2 Dustin RB Jonah Coleman 12.5 2.8 -9.7
3.3 Isaac RB Nicholas Singleton 6.0 1.6 -4.4
3.4 Dustin WR Skyler Bell 2.2 2.2 0.0
3.5 Dustin WR Ja’Kobi Lane 2.3 3.9 1.6
3.6 Nick RB Mike Washington Jr. 9.9 2.3 -7.6
3.7 Evan WR Chris Brazzell II 9.1 5.7 -3.4
3.8 Josh WR Malachi Fields 2.1 4.3 2.2
3.9 Isaac WR Brenen Thompson 0.0 0.7 0.7
3.10 Evan RB Kaytron Allen 5.6 1.3 -4.3
3.11 Dalton TE Eli Raridon 0.0 1.7 1.7
3.12 Dave RB Emmett Johnson 5.1 1.4 -3.7

Best Pick: WR Chris Brazzell II (-3.4) – Yes, Brazzell’s value took a hit post draft, but the market is still very high on him. ADP has him at 2.5 (right in the Branch/Antonio Williams zone) and Evan drafted him at 3.7. Great value here.
Worst Pick: WR Brenen Thompson (+0.7) – Selected in the 4th round of the NFL draft by the Chargers, Thompson is outside the top 40 in Dynasty rookie drafts (currently sitting at 45 – which is 4.9). Most likely due to a very poor profile and a congested landing spot/depth chart in LA.
Upside Pick: WR Malachi Fields (+2.2) – Fields is sitting at 2.7 in ADP and was considered here for the best pick of round 3; however, Fields doesn’t have the profile that Brazzell does. I expect Brazzell to be a better NFL receiver, but I like the upside of Fields with the Jaxon Dart and Nabers in fantasy. I also like Singleton to the Titans; however, the market didn’t like it at pick 27. His ADP is 34.
2025 Picks:
– Best Pick: WR Kyle Williams
– Worst Pick: QB Quinn Ewers
– Upside Pick: RB Dylan Sampson

2026 Round 4

4.1 Aaron RB Adam Randall 2.9 1.8 -1.1
4.2 Evan TE Max Klare 2.9 3.1 0.2
4.3 Dustin WR Eli Heidenreich 0.0 0.0 0.0
4.4 Craig QB Diego Pavia 0.0 0.0 0.0
4.5 Nick QB Cole Payton 1.1 1.1 0.0
4.6 Isaac WR Caleb Douglas 0.0 4.1 4.1
4.7 Joey WR Zavion Thomas 0.0 0.8 0.8
4.8 Dalton TE Tanner Koziol 2.9 0.8 -2.1
4.9 Garret WR Bryce Lance 1.0 1.0 0.0
4.10 Tee WR Malik Benson 0.0 0.2 0.2
4.11 Dave WR Reggie Virgil 0.0 0.5 0.5
4.12 Josh RB Seth McGowan 1.6 0.4 -1.2

Best Pick: WR Caleb Douglas (+4.1) – The Dolphins 3rd round receiver is flying up dynasty boards with pick 20 ADP (2.8). Isaac grabbed him at 4.6 and even though the profile isn’t great and a bit unknown, this could pay off big time. In the meantime, he’s a great value pick.
Worst Pick: QB Diego Pavia (0.0) – The DTC has no value associated to Diego which isn’t a great sign if the normal morons run believe his market value is zero. As of today, he wasn’t even signed by an NFL team. But he was invited to the Ravens minicamp.
Upside Pick: WR Bryce Lance (0.0) – Bryce Lance falling into the 4th round of our draft was not on my bingo card pre-draft. His EDP was at 87 which was near Ted Hurst but ended up falling into the 4th round to the Saints. Pretty neat profile and comped to Christian Watson, I love the upside here in the Saints offense.
2025 Picks:
– Best Pick: RB DJ Giddens
– Worst Pick: No Pick (Blackout Evan)
– Upside Pick: RB Damien Martinez

2026 PDFL Draft Grades:

Same as previous years, I took a look at grading out how we picked when we were picking. Pick value to player selection. I incorporated all 4-rounds. Since we moved to TE premium, I kept TE’s involved in our draft grades this year.

GRADE TEAM POST BPA DIFF.
A+ Josh 30.7 17.8 12.9
A Evan 18.5 8.1 10.4
A- Dustin 32.3 28.3 4.0
B+ Dave 24.1 20.5 3.6
B Isaac 33.0 30.3 2.7
B- Garret 1.0 0.4 0.6
C+ Dalton 5.9 6.0 -0.1
C Craig 7.8 10.3 -2.5
C- Aaron 66.1 69.8 -3.7
D+ Tee 37.8 43.9 -6.1
D Joey 22.9 31.3 -8.4
D- Nick 25.2 38.6 -13.4

Draft Winners: Josh & Evan – With 4 picks each, they made ’em count! Josh had positive value on all of his picks, meaning he picked players with a higher market value compared to the pick’s market value. Evan did the same except reached just a tad on Kaytron Allen (-0.3). Overall, they boasted the highest differential totals and yes, TE does play into a bit, but they went after the high value picks and won the draft.
Draft Losers: Joey & Nick – Joey enters the Draft Losers club for the second time in a row! Congrats man! It appears we both over drafted players with the picks we had. I’d argue that DTC has some poor values on Kaelon Black (rookie 41 overall), Drew Allar (rookie 23 overall) and Carson Beck (rookie 26 overall) but if DTC is the market, then it is what it is. We over drafted guys and lost the draft.

2026 PDFL Team Draft Grades:

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.9 Josh WR KC Concepcion 15.7 12.2 3.5
2.9 Josh TE Eli Stowers 10.3 3.9 6.4
3.8 Josh WR Malachi Fields 4.3 1.7 2.6
4.12 Josh RB Seth McGowan 0.4 0.0 0.4
30.7 17.8 12.9

Josh: A+
Concepcion’s ADP is at 1.8, Stowers is at 1.11, and Fields is 2.7. A nice little boost with the TE pick but overall great draft! I’m personally a big fan of KC, Stowers, and McGowan. Fields has a profile with much to be desired, but the landing spot is good enough to take a chance on him.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
2.10 Evan WR Germie Bernard 8.4 3.4 5.0
3.7 Evan WR Chris Brazzell II 5.7 1.8 3.9
3.10 Evan RB Kaytron Allen 1.3 1.6 -0.3
4.2 Evan TE Max Klare 3.1 1.3 1.8
18.5 8.1 10.4

Evan: A
Bernard’s ADP is 2.1 and Brazzell is at 2.5. Great value picks there. I’m not a huge fan of either WR considering their profiles, but I like Kaytron Allen a lot and the TE boost with Max Klare was nice flier in the 4th.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.4 Dustin WR Carnell Tate 23.4 20.4 3.0
3.2 Dustin RB Jonah Coleman 2.8 2.6 0.2
3.4 Dustin WR Skyler Bell 2.2 2.2 0.0
3.5 Dustin WR Ja’Kobi Lane 3.9 2.0 1.9
4.3 Dustin WR Eli Heidenreich 0.0 1.1 -1.1
32.3 28.3 4.0

Dustin: A-
Dustin benefitted from Tee passing on Tate whose ADP is currently 1.2. Tate didn’t have the profile I loved (like Tyson), however, top 5 receivers have a solid floor. Coleman was in a bucket of players I liked as well – not a super solid profile but average enough across the board to make things interesting in Denver. The rest of your picks were pretty close to where ADP has them so no huge wins and no overreaches. Solid draft.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.8 Dave TE Kenyon Sadiq 20.4 15.7 4.7
2.11 Dave WR Ted Hurst 1.8 3.4 -1.6
3.12 Dave RB Emmett Johnson 1.4 1.4 0.0
4.11 Dave WR Reggie Virgil 0.5 0.0 0.5
24.1 20.5 3.6

Dave: B+
Sadiq da Freak! Dave took full advantage of that 1 PPR for TE’s and grabbed huge value in Sadiq. Obviously, the market is way higher on him than our league will be, but he could turn into a great starter. Ted Hurst was a profile I really liked and had hoped the Vike’s would take him. I’m pretty low on Emmett and Virgil, but it appears the market is as well.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.11 Isaac WR Denzel Boston 12.2 10.3 1.9
1.12 Isaac WR Chris Bell 7.2 9.6 -2.4
2.5 Isaac WR Zachariah Branch 7.2 5.7 1.5
3.3 Isaac RB Nicholas Singleton 1.6 2.3 -0.7
3.9 Isaac WR Brenen Thompson 0.7 1.6 -0.9
4.6 Isaac WR Caleb Douglas 4.1 0.8 3.3
33.0 30.3 2.7

Isaac: B
Isaac was able to grab some market value in his Boston, Branch, and Caleb Douglas picks. I should have taken Douglas in the 4th, but I couldn’t get myself to draft a guy I had literally never heard of before. As I’ve mentioned, I believe Chris Bell is a reach but he’s really athletic (like Legette). Singleton has been my guy since I started my draft process, but falling into Day 3 kind of killed my excitement for him. Still, a nice landing spot with a shaky starter.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
4.9 Garret WR Bryce Lance 1.0 0.4 0.6
1.0 0.4 0.6

Garret: B-
Kind of hard to mess up a 4th round pick but still, a B- is a B-! I like Bryce Lance and I think he has a nice opportunity in New Orleans.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
2.8 Dalton TE Oscar Delp 3.4 4.1 -0.7
3.11 Dalton TE Eli Raridon 1.7 1.4 0.3
4.8 Dalton TE Tanner Koziol 0.8 0.5 0.3
5.9 6.0 -0.1

Dalton: C+
Welcome to the #TightEndBoyz, Dalty! Delp and especially Koziol was on my TE radar had we passed mandatory TE. In premium, they’re worth a look but can take a few years to do something. Based on the market, you picked them where they needed to be picked.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
2.4 Craig WR Antonio Williams 6.2 6.2 0.0
2.12 Craig WR Elijah Sarratt 1.6 3.1 -1.5
4.4 Craig QB Diego Pavia 0.0 1.0 -1.0
7.8 10.3 -2.5

Craig: C
Craig picked Williams right at his 2.4 ADP. Solid player that I believe should have no problem becoming the #2 there in Tampa Bay (eventually). Sarratt and Pavia are those players that you think you like and want to like but not sure if you should like them and then ultimately the NFL just decides for you. I believe these two are irrelevant in a few years. But I do like Pavia. Top 5 NFL pick if he’s 6’3″.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.1 Aaron RB Jeremiyah Love 33.5 33.5 0.0
1.6 Aaron WR Makai Lemon 17.8 17.8 0.0
1.10 Aaron WR Omar Cooper Jr. 11.6 11.6 0.0
2.6 Aaron QB Cade Klubnik 1.4 5.6 -4.2
4.1 Aaron RB Adam Randall 1.8 1.3 0.5
66.1 69.8 -3.7

Aaron: C-
Aaron should get a higher grade just for hitting 3 players exactly in there ADP spots. Seems almost impossible but you drafted right with the market on this one, Aaron. Klubnik was a bit of reach but understandable with the QB need on your team. Randall is one of those very few backs I actually really liked. And obviously, there’s really no losing a draft when you get the blue-chip top dynasty asset in Love.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.3 Tee WR Jordyn Tyson 20.4 20.8 -0.4
1.7 Tee QB Ty Simpson 9.6 15.8 -6.2
2.7 Tee WR De’Zhaun Stribling 5.6 4.3 1.3
3.1 Tee RB Demond Claiborne 2.0 2.8 -0.8
4.10 Tee WR Malik Benson 0.2 0.2 0.0
37.8 43.9 -6.1

Tee: D+
Tee with a D+ doesn’t seem right. He may have taken the elite Jordyn Tyson one pick too early, and I’ve already mentioned Simpson’s upside. The market is way off on Simpson but only time will show. I’m personally not a fan of Stribling, Claiborne, or Benson’s profiles but the market didn’t mind the picks.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.2 Joey QB Fernando Mendoza 20.8 23.4 -2.6
2.3 Joey RB Kaelon Black 1.3 7.2 -5.9
4.7 Joey WR Zavion Thomas 0.8 0.7 0.1
22.9 31.3 -8.4

Joey: D
It’s not a “D” draft but the market is way WAY too low on Kaelon Black (ADP is at 41… I still can’t believe that). Sure, he went to the 49ers but 3rd round draft capital and a decent profile. Mendoza is interchangeable at 1.2-1.3 and Zavion Thomas was drafted pretty much where he needed to be drafted. I’d put would have moved 1.2 and tried to grab a guy like Simpson instead (if QB was the target) but overall, nice draft.

PICK TEAM PO. PLAYER POST BPA DIFF.
1.5 Nick RB Jadarian Price 15.8 20.4 -4.6
2.1 Nick QB Drew Allar 3.4 8.4 -5.0
2.2 Nick QB Carson Beck 2.6 7.2 -4.6
3.6 Nick RB Mike Washington Jr. 2.3 1.8 0.5
4.5 Nick QB Cole Payton 1.1 0.8 0.3
25.2 38.6 -13.4

Nick: D-
So, the market feels I over drafted a few guys, huh? Well, maybe I did! Price’s ADP of 1.7 is debatable as fuck but I’d bet most leagues are drafting Price in that 1.5-1.8 range (some combination of Price, Sadiq, Lemon, and Simpson). Allar and Beck seemed to me (at the time) to be the best choices at 2.1 and 2.2. The market has them closer to 2.11 and 2.12. In my defense, Allar has an ELITE profile. Beck’s isn’t too bad either. Both went to GREAT landing spots. I did my best to trade out of this weak ass class and trade for starters instead. Add Cook and Adams to this list and I’d give myself a much better draft grade than a D-.
