One week away! There’s been some movement on the consensus big board, so it only makes sense to update my final mock 1-week prior to the NFL draft. No trades and updated EDP:
PICK | TEAM | PO. | MOCK 4.17.25 – PLAYER | EDP |
1.1 | Nick | RB | Ashton Jeanty | 7 |
1.2 | Aaron | QB | Cam Ward | 1 |
1.3 | Isaac | RB | Omarion Hampton | 22 |
1.4 | Dalton | WR | Travis Hunter | 2 |
1.5 | Aaron | WR | Tetairoa McMillan | 11 |
Big update: Shedeur is starting to slide down draft boards. Jeanty is 1.1 and I still think Aaron goes with the 1st overall pick in Cam Ward. Isaac hasn’t kept it a secret that he’s going RB early, often and a lot. Dalton usually goes BPA and it’s looking more and more like Hunter is going to play WR in the NFL. Aaron goes BPA in Tet, but this could be a logical trade out spot if Shedeur doesn’t slide too far in the 1st round.
1.6 | Joey | QB | Shedeur Sanders | 6 |
1.7 | Isaac | RB | TreVeyon Henderson | 42 |
1.8 | Aaron | RB | Quinshon Judkins | 54 |
1.9 | Evan | QB | Jaxson Dart | 25 |
1.10 | Evan | WR | Matthew Golden | 20 |
Joey finds a nice QB3 project in Shedeur to replace Levis. Isaac could surprise here with a 1st round WR, but his RB room needs too much help – insert TreVeyon. RB is a need for Aaron after dishing Jacobs 4 months too late and Quinshon should get a solid landing spot in the 2nd round. Evan has a QB and WR/Flex need so he takes care of both of them here with Dart and Golden.
1.11 | Nick | WR | Luther Burden | 35 |
1.12 | Isaac | RB | Kaleb Johnson | 61 |
2.1 | Nick | WR | Emeka Egbuka | 33 |
2.2 | Nick | QB | Jalen Milroe | 41 |
2.3 | Josh | WR | Jayden Higgins | 49 |
I’ll end up taking whichever WR sneaks into the late 1st here, but I do like Kaleb and possibly Skatt if he secures 2nd round pedigree. Isaac continues the RB rebuild but only if Kaleb secures 2nd round pedigree IMO – Isaac could go Egbuka. I’ll scoop up whatever is left over from the late 1st/2nd round. Josh has made it clear he’s not taking a 29-year-old slow Skattebo so I’d guess BPA here in Higgins.
2.4 | Dave | RB | Cameron Skattebo | 83 |
2.5 | Josh | QB | Tyler Shough | 67 |
2.6 | Tee | WR | Elic Ayomanor | 70 |
2.7 | Tee | RB | Dylan Sampson | 89 |
2.8 | Aaron | WR | Jack Bech | 68 |
Dave’s roster weakness is RB and I could see Skatt sneaking into the late 2nd/early 3rd of the NFL draft. Josh has a clear need at QB and Shough is getting projected in the early 2nd. Trying to pinpoint Tee’s boyz – Tre Harris has shades of Nate Burleson, but I think Tee takes the well-rounded WR in Ayomanor. Then it’s whatever RB catches 3rd round pedigree. Jack Bech could go way higher than this (I’ve seen him as early as 10 to Chicago) but he’s the next cool white WR and will probably produce early and often.
2.9 | Josh | WR | Tre Harris | 63 |
2.10 | Tee | WR | Kyle Williams | 90 |
2.11 | Tee | QB | Will Howard | 93 |
2.12 | Josh | WR | Savion Williams | 86 |
3.1 | Craig | WR | Jaylin Noel | 64 |
Tre Harris should be a lock in this tier (especially if he secures round 2 pedigree). I am a fan of Kyle Williams, but does he get 2nd round pedigree? I’d guess it’s him or Savion here at 2.10. Tee enjoys pet projects at QB and Howard was mocked to the Rams at pick #90 in his latest mock. I’m going to bet on Savion getting picked before the remaining WR’s (BPA here for Josh). Craig has a huge need at QB, but does he force Ewers here? Instead, I have him taking Noel who Kiper has going #54 to the Pack… so yeah. That’s an easy one.
3.2 | Aaron | TE | Tyler Warren | 9 |
3.3 | Nick | TE | Colston Loveland | 17 |
3.4 | Nick | RB | Damien Martinez | 115 |
3.5 | Craig | QB | Quinn Ewers | 109 |
3.6 | Isaac | RB | Bhayshul Tuten | 124 |
Aaron likes to go BPA so might as well snag a 1st rounder in Warren. I do the same and then take the (hopefully 3rd but worst case 4th round) bruiser in Martinez. Craig lands his needed QB and Isaac continues to dip into the RB well with Rootin’ Bootin’ Tuten (that’s actually a thing).
3.7 | Josh | RB | DJ Giddens | 102 |
3.8 | Dave | RB | R.J. Harvey | 114 |
3.9 | Josh | RB | Ollie Gordon | 129 |
3.10 | Aaron | RB | Devin Neal | 126 |
3.11 | Josh | WR | Isaiah Bond | 79 |
3.12 | Josh | RB | Jaydon Blue | 145 |
Giddens has some Pollard/DeMarco Murray to his game – just needs some meaningful snaps. Dave goes with the McKinnon clone in Harvey. Josh back to the RB well with the once famous Ollie Gordon (Could he be Rhamondre Stevenson or Jordan Howard best case)? I’m not a big fan of Neal but I do think he could go a lot higher than this – Draft “Experts” see Charbonnet/Chester Taylor in his game. I think there is one more 3rd round WR to be had here – Royals, Horton, Restrepo, Tez? I’m going Bond and Jaydon Blue to close things out. |
I really like a few of the day 3 wideouts and QBs to go in the 4th (Horton, McCord, Gabriel, and Leonard) and obviously there’s a lot to like about the RB depth (ETN, Jordan James, Brashard Smith, etc.). But all-in-all this is shaping up to be a pretty nice draft class. Or at the very least a fun draft that doesn’t include the crazy dynasty changing talent we’ve seen in recent years.
