2023 PDFL Rookie Draft Grades: 1-Year Later

Draft Grades (almost) 1-year later. First, we’re taking a look specifically at the difference between a player’s post draft value and their current market value according to the DTC. Obviously, you’re shooting for a positive differential here. Then we’ll take a look at the best picks of the draft (players values who increased the most since the draft). And cap it off with a “What-If/What-Should-Have-Been” 2023 PDFL Rookie Draft. All-in-all, it wasn’t a great draft class, but it wasn’t the worst draft class.

35% of the draft class improved their value since post-draft night. Which means, 31 players from this class are cuttable. Congrats guys! But I have to say, my favorite part of this entire value graph is Dave’s only pick (4.3 Tre Tucker) is the ONLY player who currently holds a 0.0 value. You win the draft Dave!!! #1for48

Just like we all predicted! Guys like Tank Dell, Jayden Reed, and Sam Laporta were great dynasty picks. 8 of Josh’s 13 draft picks increased in value since the draft. Safe to say, he won the draft and getting the best player at 1.4 was his plan all along.
